As mentioned here before, I have fallen in love with the gadget I never wanted - my Ipod.
I use my Ipod on a daily as daily as time allows walk and the songs are personal trainers to me.

HEY WHASSUP??
What's the bizness family Yeah what's poppin? Nuff luv to y'all strong sisters out there. Just Showing my peeps sum LOV.
On MySpace I've been friended by some dudes who talk like this and it's starting to rub off! I almost need a translator to read the messages they send me.
This weekend is supposed to be a working one for me....but....Vanessa kindly offered to give me a weekend off so I only have to work for 2 hours on Sunday morning. Yay!
My weekend resolutions are - eat somewhere fancy and photograph meal for ![[info]](http://img.greatestjournal.com/userinfo.gif) food_for_sight, spend lots of time in pyjamas and sleep in.
Yesterday Emma started her orthodontic work. The window Megan broke was repaired. And I got my hair cut and coloured.
Im officially broke!

Yesterday was interrupted by the school phoning me to say that Emma may have broken her finger during a basketball game.
A long boring wait at the doctor and an x-ray proved the school were right!!

If you read this you must read every word - start to finish...
When I went to get the heart monitor on Thursday I had to take my bra and top off in front of the pathologist lady.
Despite the fact that Im not a prude it's a little embarrassing and confronting to have to sit topless in front of a stranger.
She is preparing the holster.
Im conversing with myself inside my head - telling myself that there's no need to be embarrassed - she sees this every day of her working life - I am of no interest to her - she's just interested in getting this over with so she can go home - I've been in far more embarrassing situations that this - I've given birth and shown more of my bits than this - it's not like Im hideous and have reason to be self conscious - they're just boobs, 50% of the population has them and she has a set of her own...etc etc etc...
She still hasn't looked at me - still preparing the holster - and as she leans forward over the table she does a tiny little fart.
She says excuse me.
And suddenly I dont feel so self conscious any more!!

Have I ever mentioned that problems with Emma's jaw and teeth are because she sucked her thumb as a baby?? It made her mouth grow out of shape and line! She is booked in for stage one - having her wisdom teeth removed - June 23. I dont know about her but the thought is killing ME! The doctor has a heart monitor on me for 24 hours cause I have been having palpitations. My sister has hyperthyroidism and he's checking I dont have it too. The monitor is pissin' me off! Since I have an icon for Lucy, Jazzy insisted I have one for her - so we came up with these:

The Upside of having children:
I got presents for Mother's Day! A bracelet with heart charms and a pale pink Cyclamen which I am putting on my front doorstep.
The Downside of having children:
Megan threw a ball to Lucy that hit the bedroom window and broke it :( Bloody kids! It's a big window and will cost big $$ to fix!
Emma had her first appointment at the Orthodontic Surgeon and the cost of her jaw has blown to $14,000 (US$11,000)!!!

Here's what Emma thinks of her driving...  She did very well on her first time behind the wheel of the car. It was a bit scary for me controlling the car from the passenger seat for the first time. But Emma worked it out very quickly and did very well. ( Other Mother's Day pics! ) |

I have been meeting Emma during her lunch break this week. It's be nice to chat with her every day like friends. Now that her work experience week is up she will go back to being a teenager who tells me NOTHING!
Emma's report card from Work Experience:
Emma was a pleasure to have in the store. She is a lovely girl who fitted in well. She shows great initiative and every task she completed efficiently. Thank you Emma and good luck with your chosen career.

On Sunday - Mother's Day - we are going to my sister's farm for lunch. Emma has decided she is going to have a try at driving the car for the first time - in one of the fields. That should be interesting! If I dont make it back here I would like She Goes On by Crowded House played at my funeral.
Melbourne's main dam is only 29.6% full. We desperately need rain.
A working weekend for me - hope yours is nice.

Last night Emma went to the Logies Red Carpet. She waited all day on the sidelines and waited for the celebrities to arrive and when they did she got lots of photos.
Today Emma is beginning Work Experience. That is where the school sends her to an employer for one week (9am - 5pm) to get an idea of what it is like to be a worker. Emma has been sent to a Tennis/sports shop.
However - Emma is tucked away in bed with a sore throat, headache and runny nose!! She is spending the day in bed and will hopefully ready to start work tomorrow. In the meantime I have to phone the school and the shop and tell them that she wont be attending her first ever day at work!
Lisa had a quiet but relaxing weekend. Thanks to everyone who had a look at the movie trailer on Friday!

Yay - a non working weekend for me!
Emma is going to the Logies Red Carpet on Sunday. Australian TV awards night. She is going with her friend Thomas who is a major celebrity chaser. They should get lots of good photos.
It's probably obvious that I come from a family of very mad people.
To prove it I am sharing a video. My nephew Paul and his mates have spent the last 6 years making a mockumentary movie at my sister's farm. It's about to be released to the 'public' and is all in fun!!

Grrrrr - as if I dont have enough JUNK mail - now it's in my letter box as well as my email!
I'm supposed to send $10 to the person at the top of the list and put my own name on the bottom of the list.
Instead I sent it BACK to the person at the bottom of the list (no stamp so they get charged..ha ha) with a message:

I have gas!!
The pervy gas men have gone and they've left a gas meter. Which means I can hook up my gas ducted heating! Yay - no more chopping wood!
Now I need to buy a cat cause it is a well known fact that cats sleep across the ducts of ducted heating, preventing anyone else from getting warm!

I am so loving the Ipod! I dont know if it is a good thing or a bad thing for me cause I'm a bit of a loner and it isolates me even more. I have 100 songs now!
I am sucked into Big Brother BIG time! This year BB put a couple in the house and told them not to tell anyone they are a couple. THEN he told everyone else to guess who the couple is! THEN he put the girls ex boyfriend in the house to put pressure on the couple! There is also 4 people in a separate white room, with zero entertainment except each other. If they cant stand being in the boring white room any more they can leave to go home but the last one remaining in the white room gets to enter the main house and become a BB contestant. Im addicted.
Megan got asked to go on a TV game show 1 vs 100 as part of the 100. She doesn't know if she wants to go on it. Emma says that she should have been asked because she is (quote) General knowledge Central!

Today is a National Holiday here.
HISTORY LESSON: (so you can tell your friends you know lots of stuff) ANZAC day commemorates the combined forces of the Australian and New Zealand Armies in past wars and the brave people that fought for us.
For me it means going to work cause the disabled still need to get out of bed!
The LG man came and fixed the BIG TV.
Yesterday it was cold in the morning and for the first time this year a cloud of fog came out of my mouth when I exhaled . And during the day I saw fallen leaves on the ground.
You know what that means dont you???
It means I'm ready to begin whining about Winter!

Yesterday morning I realised there was no bread for toast.
I decided to buy a healthy muffin at McDonalds Drive Thru.
After I had left the drive thru - on my way to work and with no time to turn back - I realised that I had someone else's order of a Bacon and Egg McMuffin and a Hash Brown (oh puleaaaase spell check! *rolls eyes* this language is universal!!)
That spooky chain of events - and the fact that I am, as you all know, a deeply spiritual person - lead me to believe that something of a higher order was commanding me to eat that breakfast.
And so I did :)
